The Automation Answers for Your Residence

A home fills with connected devices one at a time. A thermostat one year, a doorbell camera the next, speakers in the kitchen, a lock on the front door. Each arrives with its own app, its own account, and its own opinion about how it should be set up.

The result is a house full of technology that nobody enjoys using.

Davison Automation designs residential systems that behave as one system — from the network up. We have been doing this for homes across British Columbia and Alberta since 2014.

FoundationStart with the Network

Most of the automation problems we get called about are network problems wearing a costume.

Video that stutters on the far side of the house. A lock that takes ten seconds to answer. A camera that drops off and comes back on its own. A speaker that plays in five rooms but not the sixth.

Before anything else goes in, we make sure the house has real coverage in every room that needs it, wired backbone where it matters, and equipment sized for what you’re actually going to run on it. It is the least visible part of the job and the part that determines whether everything else holds up.

ServicesWhat We Install

Lighting and shades

Circuit-level lighting control, dimming, and motorised blinds. Scenes for how rooms are actually used — not one switch per fixture and a wall of them by the door.

Climate and energy

Heating, cooling, and zoning brought under one schedule, with visibility into what the house is actually consuming. Small changes to how a home runs tend to pay for themselves quietly.

Entry, cameras and access

Door locks, intercom, and cameras integrated with the rest of the system rather than sitting on a separate app you check twice a year.

Network and Wi-Fi

Wired and wireless coverage designed for the building, not the box. Guest access, separation for devices that don’t need to see each other, and remote access that doesn’t leave the house exposed.

Audio and video

Music through the house, media rooms, and displays that turn on with one button instead of three remotes. Wiring planned before the drywall goes up wherever we’re brought in early enough.

Control and scenes

One interface for all of it — wall panel, phone, or voice. Set up so the people who live there can change it without calling us.

ProcessHow a Project Runs

Consultation

We walk the property, talk through how you use each room, and find out what already works and what has annoyed you for years.

Design and Quote

A written scope with equipment named and cost broken out, so you can see what each part costs and decide what stays in.

Installation

Scheduled around your household and coordinated with your builder, electrician, or designer where there is one.

Handover

We test everything, then sit down with everyone who lives there until they can each use it comfortably.

AftercareSupport after Handover

Automation should work long after the installer has left. Your home is no exception.

That’s why we monitor the systems we install remotely, which means we can see issues and resolve them before you’ve noticed them.

If systems drift, firmware updates, or a new network device or modem happens to knock something loose, we already know what’s in your house if something does need hands on it.

Davison Automation - Residential Services

The real test of a home system is whether a houseguest can turn on a light without being taught.

We design for the person who didn’t choose the technology: the partner who wants the kitchen lights on, the teenager who wants music, the visitor who needs the front door to open.

If someone has to phone us to change a schedule or add a user, we designed it wrong.
